Description: It is an authentic Antique Map approximately 119 years old with original hand coloring as issued. It has a copyright of 1887 printed on the map, although it was published in the 1890 edition of Mitchell's General Atlas (Philadelphia: Bradley, 1890), a copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The maps have a copyright inscription with the date of 1887 by Bradley & Bro. in small print in the bottom margin. Bradley took over the publishing of the atlas from Mitchell around 1880 and continued to publish the atlas, Mitchell still maintained the copyright on the atlas but sold the copyrights of the maps to Bradley. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, a Beautiful Map with Superb Color!
Size: The map image measures approximately 14 by 21 inches on a 15 1/4 by 24" page with a centerfold as issued.
Condition: It is in Fair to Good condition, basically as seen in the pics, with overall light tonal aging and slight darkening around the edges, blank on the reverse, printed on heavy paper with original hand coloring and a centerfold as issued. There are splits of about 3 inches at each end of the centerfold, a 3/4 inch edge tear, a hint of a damp stain along the left edge and one smudge entering the map, otherwise the map is very clean in general with superb hand color and would frame up nicely. The pics are of the actual map and accurate of condition and color.
