Description: It is an authentic engraved antique map with original handcoloring and the desirable decorative border. It is from the 1867 Edition of Johnson's Family Atlas. It has a copyright date of 1866 along the bottom border. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. This is the rarer large version showing Tibet.
Size: The map image measures approximately 15 by 22 inches on an 18 by 26 1/2" page with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Fair condition with overall tonal aging and original hand color with a centerfold as issued. There is some damp staining around the edges as seen, although it is lighter on the actual map. The centerfold was splitting and has been reinforced on the reverse, so it no longer folds but is very good for framing. There is some minor spots, light backprinting and smudging round the edges. It does have strong color and a rich antique appearance often desired. The pics are of the actual map.
