Description: It is an original antique map with handcoloring. It is from Gray's Atlas of the United States (Philadelphia: Stedman, Brown, Lyon, 1873). It is by O.W. Gray, Civil and Topographical Engineer. A copy of the title page is included. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the main pic. There is a map on each side of one sheet, so if framing you would have to choose between the North America side and the Caribbean side.
Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 14 1/2 inches on a 14 1/2 by 17" page with a wide margin all around as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition with overall tonal aging with some darkening around the edges, basically as seen in the pics. Other than a light damp stain around the edges, the map is very clean with no obvious distracting defects on the map images. It should frame up very nicely. See the pics for a better idea of the condition. The pics are of the actual map.
