Description: It is an authentic Antique map over 150 years old with original handcoloring as issued. It is from Roswell Smith's Concise and Practical System of Geography (New York: Daniel Burgess & Co., 1850). The map has a copyright date of 1847 in small print in the bottom margin. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic.
Size: The map image measures approximately 8 1/4 by 10 1/2 inches on a 9 1/2 by 11 1/2" page with a margin all around for matting as seen in the pic.
Condition: It is in Fair or better condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing, original handcolor and pliable paper. It is basically as seen in the pic with handling around the edges, some browning and a couple of bent corners.Overall, it has nice color and nicely aged patina that is often desired for framing. The pics are of the actual map and accurate of the condition and color.
