Hibari Ohako Benten Kozo - Raised at a Buddhist temple Orphaned Kiku learned theatrical and martial arts as a child. Now a young teenager and falsely accused of murdering Lady Okugata he flees for his life, seeking out his mother whom he has always dreamed of meeting.
But when she finds out there's a price on his head, she's eager to turn him in for the reward. Kiku then goes underground as the thief Benten Kozo finding a home among a band of robin hoods called the Shiranami Five Alliance who break into the storage houses of rich merchants and distribute the loot amongst the poor.
