Isshin Tasuke: Otoko no Naka no Otoko
Ippiki - Isshin takes the big plunge and finally marries Onaka,
but things get alittle out-of-hand as Lord Okubo's Stewart, Kinai, stops by on
the wedding night to ask Isshin to put-up his two sons for awhile, the next
morning two of Onaka's childhood girlfriends also come to stay.
With a house full of free-loaders there's little time for
romance and on top of all that Mr. Ohara the Ronin neighbor has become destitute
and is about to commit seppuku. Then Isshin learns that Lord Kamio and his
brother, the South City Magistrate, have conspired with merchant Tanbaya to take
control of the Uogashi Fish Market and line their pockets with cash by diverting
public funds.
When the Uogashi manager, Matsumaeya, is arrested and
sentenced to death, falsely accused of being a Toyotomi loyalist, Isshin's only
hope is the help of Lord Okubo, but when Lord Okubo dies, Isshin has no where to
turn.
Loaded with action and humor this is one of Nakamura's most
popular roles.
