Tokugawa Ieyasu is quoted as saying: "To come to know your enemy, first you must become his friend, and once you become his friend, all his defenses come down. Then you can choose the most fitting method for his demise." This reflected the beliefs and military strategy of Ieyasu, a man who was destined to take over the entire country.
Ieyasu seized power in 1600 and received the title of Shogun from Emperor Go-Yōzei in 1603, he had outlasted all the other great men of his times: Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Shingen and Kenshin. An absolute must for any fan of Japanese History, this is a film not to be missed.
