Hangyakuji - Chronicle's the tragic
life of a young lord in the Warring States Era. Lord Saburo Nobuyasu, son of
Tokugawa Ieyasu, struggles to find comfort in life.
His pre-arranged marriage to
Princess Tokuhime, daughter of one-time family enemy Oda Nobunaga, provides
scant happiness, and his manipulative mother of the defeated Imagwa Clan adds
even more complications with her constant interference and attempts at
overthrowing the Oda Clan. Nobunaga soon learns of the treachery and orders
Ieyasu to kill his wife and son.
A true classic in the historical context, this is a great
movie which allows the viewer an insight into the culture of feudal
Japan.
