Description:
Hatamoto Taikutsu Otoko Nazo no Nanbandaiko - The tales of Saotome Mondonosuke (the ”Bored Hatamoto” aka Crescent Scarred Samurai) have been told in over 25 films. As a Hatamoto (direct retainer of the Shogun) Mondonosuke has a crescent scar on his forehead, which is a license from the Shogun to go above and beyond the law in order to protect the Shogunate.
As a group of Chinese acrobats travel around Japan to help celebrate the building of the Yushima Shrine, a series of mysterious muders take place with a strange and unknown weapon.
Master swordsman Saotome Mondonosuke, takes it upon himself to investigate the mystery and solve the puzzling crimes. Could the Chinese acrobats have anything to do with it, or is this another conspiracy being carried out by those who would take over the Shogunate themselves?
