Koharu, an actress in a traveling theatrical troupe becomes involved in the search for the the Lady Okyo's treasure, she's accompanied by Gennajro, a Samurai serving Lady Okyo who's been charged with the task of returning the missing heirloom. Meanwhile the Ronin Jubei, a master swordsman of the two-sword technique and an outcast from Lady Okyo's Toriyama Clan gladly joins the duo and helps Koharu and Gennjaro in their mission.
In addition to Misora's strong performance, there is surprisingly good swordplay by another lady with martial skills in this highly entertaining mixture of action, adventure, love, betrayal, music, and with the slightest touch of humor. It's no wonder the stars of this film are still so popular in Japan to this very day!
