Yagyu Ichizoku no Inbo - One of the
most memorable roles for SONNY CHIBA was his portrayal of YAGYU JUBEI, the
one-eyed master swordsman who helped protect Shogun Iemitsu during the early
days of Japan's 17th Century.
The Yagyu Clan, under Jubei's father, Yagyu Tajima, must
protect the young Shogun from the plots of those seeking to overthrow
him.
Rarely has a samurai series maintained such a high level of
quality in the story, acting, and martial arts sequences.
Originally shown in 1978 on TV Asahi, it also stars Etsuko
Shiomi and features awesome fighting from the Japan Action Club.
