Jusei - The Matsuma-Gumi and the Ryusekai-Gumi are celebrating a truce. Suddenly the celebration is violently interrupted, when a hit man kills the boss of the Matsuwa and seriously wounds the boss of the Ryuseikai.
In the meantime, Shoichi, who once was one of the young and upcoming lieutenants in the Ryusekai-Gumi before he went straight, gets unexpected and unwanted visits from the Police-Inspector investigating the restaurant shoot-out. Things get worse, when one of the Ryusekai’s top men, meets with one of the high ranking Matsumas to discuss who could be responsible and both get killed.
This story of double crossing and backstabbing has shoot-outs that are so beautifully choreographed and filmed it shames most of John Woos later work, a very well done and fast paced movie.
