Since each episode is reduced to 45 minutes, you get to the climatic fight a lot sooner, and since the plot has to be simplified to accommodate less characters, the films are easier to follow.

Episode 9. THE REVOLVING LANTERN
Bounty hunters are gathering in a town to hunt for a boss who burned a courthouse. Fate turned cold for the boss who has been helping people. Ichi felt sorry for the big boss. Another young bounty hunter shows up in the town.
Episode 10. THE WINTER SEA
Ichi stays at a little cabin on the beach. A girl who loves to draw became a friend of Zatoichi's through her art. However, her body is already taken by a fatal illness. At the same time, a yakuza group find the cabin.
Episode 11. TRAVELING WITH A CHILD
A dying man told Ichi to take care his son and his mistress. Ichi has to take them to Inba village. There is an old man who used to be a samurai waiting for them. The yakuza boss who wants to get Ichi is catching them at the village.
