This antique horse drawn wagon could have been in a wagon train on the Oregon Trail in the 1850's. It is a rare and highly collectible wagon. It was made in about 1850. Every piece of iron was hand forged. This wagon has lynch pin axles. Every wheel is interchangeable with each other. The bolsters are 40 1/2 inches wide. The front bolster is 21 inches tall and the back bolster is 15 inches tall. All the wheels are 1 3/4 inches wide and 43 inches tall.
The box has had the lumber replaced, with special order true dimensional lumber, using the original hardware. It is 9 ft. 4 in. long, 40 1/2 inches wide and 12 1/8 inches deep. There are tension rods front and rear. There is a rein tie and a foot rest in the front, wooden steps on each side, and a nice spring seat.
This wagon has a 8 foot wooden straight tongue, with single and double trees.
