This system is sonically perfect and sounds fabulous!

The cabinets, drivers, grilles and speaker surrounds are all in excellent condition. There are a few scratches but nothing very noticeable.

This item is functioning properly with no issues. All of the drivers are impeccable. Cosmetically they are in outstanding condition as well with no significant issues. They are however used and may have some minor scuffs/scratches on the cabinets. Please see the photos and feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

Over the years, the one criticism I have heard regarding the Bose speakers is that they don't produce bass as well as some other high-end audiophile speakers do. That may in fact be true, but I would counter that they do re-create real bass quite accurately. If you have ever listened to live, unamplified music you'll more than likely agree that bass can be overemphasized in some of today's home systems. The Bose 301 provides a more accurate portrayal of the concert experience.

That is in fact some of the true beauty of these speakers. Direct Reflection technology places drivers in the rear, where they bounce sound off the walls to pleasantly assault you from all angles. One driver in the front provides direct sound. They can be used with just about any receiver or amplifier on the market, and sound fantastic even with lower powered units.

With the 301's I have been able to sit on my couch, close my eyes, and be pleasingly assaulted by sound from all angles. This is truly surround sound. You really can't tell where the speakers are.
