The designs of 2 Lizards hand painted all around the pot.  SIGNED.  This is a handcrafted Zuni Pueblo Pot by noted artists Deldrick and Lorenda Cellicion. Deldrick and Lorenda Cellicion are full blooded Zuni Pueblo Native Americans. They create some of the most collectable pottery from the Zuni Pueblo today including polychrome jars, bowls, effigies and wedding vases. Their pottery is traditionally hand coiled and painted with natural pigments. They are known for their use of nature for images, which collectors find very desirable. Deldrick and Lorenda say that their favorite designs to create ore fanciful lizards and frogs with scrolls as well as feathers and resets.This stunning pot measures 8 1/2 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. This piece is signed by Deldrick and is signed Zuni. Deldrick and Lorenda's work is included in "Southwestern Pottery, Anasazi to Zuni" by Hayes & Bloom; and in Dr. Gregory Schaaf's "Southern Pueblo Pottery: 2000 Artist Biographies".
