WOW!!!!
Vox AD120VT
This auction is for a used Vox AD120VT. At this time is not fully operational. I bought this at an auction and I will tell you all the information that I have.
1. It does have power on all the lights.
2. Sound does come out of it.
3. Nothing comes out when a guitar is plugged in.
4. The on board tuner does work.
5. I have no idea what is wrong with it.
This may be a big thing or it may be a small thing. I really don't have the time or interest to put any money into it. If it never works it would make a great 2x12” cabinet.
I got quotes to take to a dealer and drop 60 into to find out what's wrong. It could just be a bad solder job or maybe a board. If I played, I would do it in a second.
I have done some reading on these things. I know they are very sought after.
Info from the manufacturer:
The Vox AD120VT combo amp was introduced at the 2001 Summer NAMM Music Trade Show in Nashville TN.
The AD120VT followed many traditional Vox styling clues but had one stunning difference. This amp had blue diamond Vox grill cloth. When the amp was introduced, many of my customers remarked how much they disliked the blue cloth, but Vox installed blue Vox grill cloth for a reason. The AD120VT had a radically new design and the blue grill would draw attention to this fact.
The AD120VT followed the basic proportions of the Vox AC-30. Two Celestion Vox 7080 speakers were connected to the amp's stereo output amplifier.
The designs of both the preamp and power amp stages of the AD120VT were radically new. Neither the REMS modeling preamp nor the Valve Reactor power amp section had ever been used in an amplifier before.
