Item is the 1981 Ford Passenger Car full-line new vehicle brochure. OK, let's face it, 1981 was a disasterous year for the American auto industry in general and the Ford Motor Company in particular. However, even while it was hemorraging some $3 Billion in losses that year, they still had to move the metal.
This 1981 brochure is a stark reminder of how tough things had become. This eight-page brochure was designed to cover the following models: Escort, Granada, Fairmont/Fairmont Futura, Thunderbird, LTD/LTD Crown Victoria and Mustang. (can you imagine?!)
Light on pretty much everything, the brochure was even printed on stock that would be considered just a grade or two above the featherweight mazagine glossy stock.
The good news is that despite some yellowing of the cover, the overall condition of this gem is very good.
