Item is the 1981 Ford Escort new vehicle brochure. This is the start of the modern subcompact era at the Ford Motor Company. The Escort was available that year in a three or five door hatchback and station wagon body styles.
It was also the automaker's first front-wheel drive subcompact in the United States, as well as its first attempt at a "World Car" -- a product so engineered that it could be sold globally.
To that end, the Escort failed miserably.
However, the 21-page brochure features a fold out of a white Escort three-door in the front , while a bevy of information is included throughout the booklet.
The overall condition of the brochure is excellent.
