Item is the 2000 Ford 24-7 Concept press kit folder. Remember the dotcom bubble and all the dramatic changes the internet was supposed to bring in a disruptive fashion?
Well, the Ford Motor Company did and in its attempt to “transform” itself into a hip, internet savvy company, developed the 24-7 concept.
Ford charged the concept with the promise to “do for personal transportation what the day planner and computer have done for the office - help people manage their increasingly scarce time through maximized efficiency”.
I saw this concept myself the day it was unveiled. Consider it a combination of your computer meets your PDA meets your car. You are going to have to read through the number of press releases included with this press kit to get the idea, but trust me when I tell you if you think cell-phones are a problem today, this car would have been the queen of all traffic jams.
Imagine - the complete dashboard in front of you as the ultimate internet interface! At the very least, Ford was way ahead of its time and at the worst, it was the ultimate geek mobile.
The press kit also includes 3 color slides (be sure to look at the one of the dashboard!)
The overall condition of the materials is very good.
