This 38-page report was prepared under the general direction of Stuart S. Keitz, Director, Office of Automotive Industry Affairs. Albert T, Warner, Director, Motor Vehicle Division, was responsible for the direct supervision of the project. Edward B. Leviton, Ph.D, served as the principal analyst and drafer of the report, and Kerry Lanham prepared all financial analyses. Other members of the research team included Michael Anderson and Robin Gaines.
