Item is the Chevrolet Communication - Prove It - May 1963. A professional service for Chevrolet Retail Management, this monthly box of product training and sales aids was designed to introduce the Chevrolet dealership personnel to the 1963 Chevrolet product line-up.
The theme for the May 1963 kit was “Prove It“, Putting the facts together to make the sale through a variety of resources.
Chevrolet packed this box (measuring 16x11x2 ¼ inches) full of sales aids and materials. Chevrolet used a variety of unique media for sales aids. The contents includes:
1. Audio - Three (3)) Vinyl 33 1/3 rpm (long play) records.
2. One 4 x 9 ½ inch booklet about “overhauling the Chevrolet four-speed (manual) transmission- this 21- page booklet is a complete reprint of the sound slide film of the same name.
3. Large poster - 44 x 30 inch “The OK News - Prove it in Print” using testimonials, fact books, warranties, seals of approval, product tags and consumer reports.
4. Large poster - 50 x 38 inch “10 Reasons Why Chevy’s the Buy” Ten reasons to buy the 1963 Chevrolet pick-up.
5. Two copies of the 10 x13 inch, 36-page booklet titled “Communication Central” that covers the actual sales techniques and vehicle delivery preparation needed by the dealership sales personnel. Produced by Chevrolet Retail Management, this was a monthly centralized source of ideas, techniques and Action Guides to strengthen the local dealership in sales and service through up-to-date in-dealership training.
This is a rare find! This is the real deal, not a reprint or reproduction. As a result, some of the materials show a bit of its 49 years. The overall condition of the box and contents is good for its age.
