Item is the 1981-88 GM Computer Command Computer Control Carburetors Manual. Produced by GM Product Service Training Group, this used factory manual covers the carburetor fundamentals and adjustments. While this book is considered to be an excellent review of the extensive program presented in the GM training center session, it is NOT intended to substitute for the current service manuals normally used on the job.
The range of specifications and variation in procedures between car lines and models requires that the division service publications be referred to, as necessary, when performing these operations.
This book WILL thoroughly introduce the reader to the fundamentals of carburetion and will then point out the unique differences in computer controlled systems. It is the intent of this book to point out the differences in the individual computer controlled carburetors. All of the different carburetor models used between (1981-1988) are specifically identified with details pertaining to their operation and unique specifications.
PLEASE NOTE: This book is intended as a SUPPLEMENT to the service manual and other service publications. This book should be used as a source of “theory of operation” in order to understand the reasons for the various diagnostic and service procedures.
