Item is the 1988 Ford Air Inlet Control Systems manual.  Produced by the automaker's Training & Publications Department, this 52-page manual is part of the Comprehensive Training Program (CTP)that takes a close and through look at Air Inlet Control Systems used on current and past Ford and Lincoln-Merucry vehicles.  The contents of this manual primarily concerns operation, diagnosis, adjustments and any peculiar service features that a technician should be aware of.

This CTP program concentrates on the introduction of heated air into the engine during cold weather and engine cold start conditions.  This air, heated by the exhaust manifold, is extremely important to engine performance, low emissions, and good driveability.  The introduction of heated air, modulation of heated and ambient air, and cutoff of heated air must all occur between specific parameters to assure optimum engine operation.

The actual use of this system is found on all vehicles equipped with carburetors or central fuel injection (CFI) and selected (but not all) port fuel injected (EFI) engines.

This is NOT a reproduction or reprint, but a used factory issued manual.   The overall condition of the manual is good.
