This is a replica frame made in the
old European style of the old masters with elaborate ornaments by taking select
molded lumber, building it up with gesso and clay, and leafing with gold. The
frame style imitates hand carving and is antiqued with Rottenstone and enhanced
with a patina using traditional methods. It comes with a natural color linen
liner.
This frame provides a perfect finish
to classical paintings or oil paintings. Because it is made with solid wood it
is fairly heavy (8 lbs).
The frame is new and comes with
hangers and wire.
