The book supplies both theoretical and practical information about cardiovascular disorders.  An introductory chapter reviews the principles of normal cardiovascular anatomy and physiology and the mechanisms of heart failure.

Cardiovascular assessment techniques are reviewed as well as diagnostic tests and review of normal/abnormal values.

Successive chapters discuss specific cardiovascular disorders which include, but are not limited to:  circulation, pump failure, cardiac musculature, and electroduction.

Interspersed throughout the text are numerous color diagrams, anatomic drawings, charts, graphs, patient/family education teaching aids, and supplementary materials.

While published 26 years ago and drugs and equipment have changed, much of the content remains relevant today.

This book has served my practice well for the past 26 years and now in readying for retirement, it is time to pass it along to someone else to use.
