We saw these for twice the price in Bangkok Department Stores. We have been told that these bed covers are made by scraps by women in villages. The silk that is used for the underside may have flaws and stains. These are quilts without stuffing - just a top and bottom layer of heavy weight silk. This item is made of silk and should be washed by hand or dry cleaned. The back of quilt uses a assortment of plaid silk scraps. The handmade quality and imperfections add to the charm of this item.
