Vintage Albumens and Silver Prints: 1860-1950
Bennett Hall, photographer, architect and historian, has been collecting rare and vintage albumen, silver prints and photography, artwork and memorabilia for over 30 years.  During that time, he, with his company Business Image Group, have produced innumerable exhibits for public spaces, hotels, hospitals, and corporations on the history of local communities and companies and organizations. 
    Hall founded World Wide Archive in late 2005 to maintain the evolving holdings of historical photography from around the world that he collected.
    Due to circumstance, Hall and Worldwide Archive, are currently divesting selected portions of their holdings, making it available through a serious of ebay and other auctions and sales.  This will include hundreds of original pieces that have been in our collections up to 30 years or in many cases have never have been previously available.
     We will provide the most accurate descriptions of the pieces possible including media type, size, condition,  inscriptions if any, provenance as known, and estimated value if we can offer a reasonable appraisal.   We are not selling this collection lightly, and it is only with careful reflection that we have decided that it is time to relinquish our holdings to the community
    In most cases, these are one of a kind pieces from our private collection, and this is the FIRST time they have been on the market ANYWHERE.

Fine Art Prints by Bennett Hall
    We are also selling selected photographic prints and hand-tinted black and white prints by Bennett Hall.
    These photographs were made by fine art photographer Bennett Hall from 1972-1996 using photographic processes, normally using silver gelatin papers with a full selenium tone archival process as outlined by the method of Ansel Adams whom Hall studied extensively.  Hall no longer prints darkroom prints of any kind, and no further photographic prints by this artist will be available.

Reproductions: Silver photographic prints
    From 1980-1996 Hall produced numbers of photographic reproductions of historical photographs in his darkroom, in sizes up to 12 x 36 feet.  These were all made using the traditional methods of shooting a 4x5" or 8 x 10" copy negative from the historical original and subsequently making the best possible photographic enlargement, made in Hall's massive darkroom.  Hall, a master printer, continued this work until 1997 when the lag was shut done.  No more prints of this type will are available or produced.

    Additionally, we produce museum-grade reproductions in our studio from selected photography and the fine art photography of our founder Bennett Hall, a fine Art photographer since 1976
    Prints are available in limited editions sign by the artist in the case of fine art photography, or hand-tinted print.
    Images are made on a Z3200 12-color pigment printer by HP, rated for a 200 year life according to Wilhlem 
    If you have a larger projects, let us know and we can arrange a special quote for your project to ensure consistency for your design.
    Historical reproductions have been scanned at very high resolution with state of the art equipment and optics.  Careful restoration of contrast, perspective correction, removal of defects, dusts and scratches has rendered the files appropriate for large prints suitable for feature placement in homes, businesses and public space.  We can also customize the work to your requirements, for example - if you want a sepia version of a black and white photograph, we will convert the file and print it to sepia for you or vice versa.
    A limited edition is available in hand-tinted black and white, the process of conversion to hand-colored is expensive, but it is possible we may have the source materials or be able to accommodate this in some circumstances
   Prints are made on Insta Dry Satin paper.  Other paper types are available by special request for volume orders.
    We ensure that the prints produced in the studio are of the highest caliber and resolution suitable for framing

Framing services are available at an additional costs and you are always welcome to pick up your pieces in person in San Francisco or Oakland hills studio.

Framing upgrade:
We offer framing in 4 standard styles priced by size.  
If you would like to order one of our pieces framed, simple add the purchase of one frame in the appropriate size per color, with adjustment for shipping and will complete the order accordingly.  If the piece ordered is an artist original or limited edition by Bennett Hall it will be signed on the face of the matting.
