Electronic Brain Games is a series of interactive books that help you exercise your brain regularly to keep it in tip-top shape. This starter kit includes the Brain Games interactive reader (it looks like an oversized pen) and ear buds, along with two puzzle books: "Brain Training" and "Picture Puzzles". The "Brain Games" interactive reader recognizes text and images on the book pages. The reader includes a cartridge that reads the first six books in the "Electronic Brain Games" series, including "Brain Training" and "Picture Puzzles." (The other four books are sold separately.) Touching the reader's optic point to a page allows you to solve puzzles and challenges, ask for hints, time yourself while working a puzzle, and more. The pen also has a mechanical pencil that you can use to write answers, keep notes, and check off which puzzles you have completed. The "Brain Training" book offers 120 puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty, each developed to exercise a different part of the brain and help build the following skills: Attention, Computation, Language, Memory, Music and Spatial Reasoning. The "Picture Puzzles" book is for those who love visual search puzzles. Compare two nearly identical pictures and use the "Brain Games" pen to point out and count the subtle differences - and to get hints when you need them. "Picture Puzzles" will help you enhance the following skills: Alertness, Concentration, Memory and Observational skills. Both "Brain Training" and "Picture Puzzles" are spiral-bound and easy to handle, regardless of whether you're at home, traveling, or waiting in line.
