• Why is Vendio making these changes?
  Now that we offer permanent image storage, we must make these changes as an incentive to help keep old, unused images from impacting the performance of the image hosting systems. Many of our competitors use storage based pricing, but offer less value, with generally higher prices and less robust functionality.

• What is covered by these new prices?
  Only image hosting of Standard Images are affected by these changes. Images used for templates and logos are not affected. ZoomStream images are also not affected.

• Can I see real world examples of how the new pricing structure works?
  The following example illustrates the large volume of images included for free with Sales Manager, which is why the majority of customers can expect to see no changes in their monthly bill.
  
  A customer on the $12.95 Flat Rate Premium plan listing 110 items per month would have Sales Manager fees of $34.95. At this level, Vendio offers the customer up to 500MB of peak storage at no additional charge. This storage would enable 90 images per listing (50KB images) or 9 very high resolution images per listing (at the new 500KB maximum image size).
  
  Compare this storage to the competition's 110 listing Quick Pack at this price level, which only includes 10MB of image storage. This competitor's overage charge of $1.50 for each additional MB demonstrates the incredible value of the 500MB of free storage you get with Vendio. If this Vendio customer required additional storage, they could receive virtually unlimited image storage (10GB) for only an additional $15 per month.
  
  The following additional examples illustrate how Vendio includes a level of Free Image Hosting when using Sales Manager, although some sellers may want more image storage than what is included for free:

  If the fee associated with your peak storage is less than your Sales Manager and Stores fees, your image hosting is free.
  
  If you require more image hosting peak storage, your Image Hosting fee will be the difference between the fee for the peak storage required and your Sales Manager and Stores fees.

  Image Hosting’s new pricing took effect on September 30, 2004.

  When the new pricing takes effect, all changes will be automatic and no user action will be required.

  If you pay an annual subscription fee, your annual fee will be prorated by month to calculate a monthly credit towards Image Hosting fees.

• What images will be used to count towards my disk usage?
  Only Standard images stored in folders or the Recycle Bin count toward disk usage. Images used for Custom Templates, Vendio Stores logos, and ZoomStream images do not count toward disk usage.

• Why is the Recycle Bin counted toward usage?
  The Recycle Bin must be counted toward disk usage because the Undelete function could easily be used to bypass the maximum storage levels for each plan.

• What if I don’t use Image Hosting?
  If you do not use Image Hosting to store images, then you will not be affected by this pricing change.

• How do I convert image storage from GB to MB?
  MB and GB are abbreviations for standard measures of disk space, megabytes and gigabytes, respectively. They can be confusing to convert. Here's how you can convert from one to the other:
  
  1 GB = 1,024 MB
  
  therefore,
  
  10 GB = 10,240 MB
  
  So our 10 GB Image Hosting plan equals 10,240 MB of image storage.
  
  If you wish to convert from MB to GB, here's how:
  
  1 MB = 0.00098 GB
  
  So if you're using 2,500 MB of storage, that equals 2.44 GB.
