I was reading US World and New Report, the magazine, and they had an article in the 'Bush Card' section.
I also looked to see if they were online and they are, and this article was there.
Someone posted here that Bushs' IQ was 91.
It's an unfortunate reality that lots of folks think President Bush isn't the brightest bulb in the room. So it didn't seem that surprising when the Lovenstein Institute of Scranton, Pa., rated Bush's IQ as 91, the lowest of recent presidents. The July report followed Bush to Europe, where he was belittled by local reporters. And it has been used against him back home. Well, brainiacs, there is no Lovenstein Institute. The report was an Internet hoax. "This does not exist," says Stan Zygmunt, a University of Scranton spokesman who helped us track down the trick.

No it didn't mention whether the number was too high or too low, but I can Ask Jeeves.
The article in the actual magazine, was right below the article about Clintons new 28 acre waterfront Theme Park in Little Rock, which is also housing his library and museum

Well, I for one knew that the report couldn't have been true. Forrest Gump was supposed to have only an IQ of 79, but you could understand everything that he said without a problem. George Bush, Jr. scores somewhat lower than that.

Ya know Borillar, I think they mentioned that in the movie, I believe it was when his mother was insisting to the principal that he go to the 'regular' school. When the prinicipal informed her that his IQ was 79.
However I do believe Forrest Gump was a fictional character. Or did you really think he was the one that thought up the smiley face and 'Have a nice day' and the lone survivor on shrimp boat in that there hurricane down there?
Yes and its also fact that Bushs' daddy paid the dean at Harvard to graduate him, and the election for Gov of TX was rigged, but in all that, do you know his actual IQ?

That's false Borillar! I think anything below 79 and you can't feed yourself. I saw him drinking a glass of "water" which is pretty darn close.

He keeps bringing him up. Oh if only movie characters were real!!! I'd wouldn't say no to Robinson Curuso (played by Aiden Quinn) to being stranded on that island with him or.........

When I take those silly tests I get really high numbers so I should say how great they are to build my imaige, but they are another beloved institution dripping in snake oil.
I don't care if he bought it, stole it, or won it in a box of Cracker Jacks - the guy has the top dog job in the whole country and you have to give him some points for grabbing it no matter how he would do sitting down to a standardized test. If he is so dumb - and he sure sounds that way - why is he there and so many bright boys who want the job are not?
I don't even count - 'cause you could not GIVE the job to me.

Borillar, the image that Bush is fictional, may be to you. But and however we do have a President whether you like it or not
I often wonder, if all this did not happen (Florida) and things went smoothly and we had a President elected on Nov 8 (like we usually have by that time, and not all that went on until Dec) if you would accept Bush as your President? I doubt it.
Of course there is a possiblity that people here that protest Bush and comment on him,
and how bad a President he is, are not U.S. citizens. That happens, as I'm sure there are Canadians, Austrailians, Brits, etc, who are not U.S. citizens, who did not partake in voting.
You always claim that you blame the Republican voters for this. Why is this? Isn't this still a 'free' (sorta ) country, and we have the right to vote for whom we please? If someone before the election was trying to tell me how evil I would be if I voted for the Republican, it would sure upset me, and certainly wouldn't affect how I voted, quite the opposite, as it has after the fact.
Oh and while I am here, whoever started the thread about his month long vacation at his ranch.. I was surprised that I saw him on TV yesterday, in Missouri, making a speech, of which myself and the people here understood every word he did say. Yes it was not a taped piece, it was live. I don't know how he did that without leaving his ranch in TX
Helen I understand your animosity towards Bush, I do. But I don't think that most Americans do not like him. I mean almost, yes, almost half voted for him according to the popular vote. It was not a landslide win on the popular vote. Of course the ones that did not vote for him, they do care, yes, I understand that.

Your right, Bush is our President. A lot of us don't like the idea that we have a President that represents the minority instead of the majority. If he was honorable, he would take a much more middle of the road approach to things, seeing how even he has to realize he was elected by the minority.
