I love Barney. He has consistently given me time to shower in peace, watch a tv program, list an auction item. My oldest discovered him when he was dark purple and really ugly ... but she loved him anyway.

When my now four-year-old discovered him again, my husband had but one comment ...

HE'S BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!

Barney is harmless and amuses the kids, what's not to like?

My vote for the worst show is the Presidents last Press Conference.

I am a trekkie. Cant wait for the new one. I thought it starred Chachi, but I was wrong. The guy who played that time warp show...Scott Bakula, will be the new captain of the Enterprise. This one will be a good one I think...maybe more aliens and surprise from the captain and crew to meet these new life forms. With the first star trek, it was more a soap opera and in general "oh, another alien" type of response from them. This one will be "OMG! ALIENS!"

I missed that landmark telecast....sounds like it was bad for someone, based on the media reports I've read...

trekkie

Trekker?

I think the time and space twisters are much more fun than the alien encounters...I've always been a fan of Einstein...and, hate to admit it, but I enjoyed Bakula and Stockwell and their time travels...*G* So, I'm also looking forward to the Star Trek prequel...

Worst show?
Any sitcom with canned laughter......why don't they trust us (or themselves) enough to think that we'll get the humor?

enchanted - I agree that X-files is one of the best shows ever. I love the show itself and as for David Duchovny - YUMM....

Carol Burnett show was and is one of my favorite TV shows.

As for Barney, Teletubbies and Blue's Clues - I would get nothing done without them. And may I add, I LOVE Blue!!

WORST: I'm also going to vote for Dukes of Hazzard.

Absolute worst ever - Green Acres. barf!

Thunder Alley was a close second.

My favorite old show was Dick Van Dyke... current favorite is Becker. I guess my taste have changed over the years.

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

Connie Chung interviewed Gary Coleman? Must have been a "short" interview.

I have only passing interest in the new Enterprise series. With each new incarnation, the franchise seems more shopworn. Deep Space Nine and Voyager were complete bombs, IMHO.

It seems like they made Enterprise just for the sake of having something in the fall line-up. Scott Bakula will always be Sam from Quantum Leap in my eyes, so it's difficult to imagine him as anybody else. Plus I'm always going to be looking for Dean Stockwell whispering to him from behind the Captain's chair.

I still watch Star Trek: The Next Generation from 3 am - 5 am every day on New York's channel 11, though. Never get tired of Patrick Stewart. The only episodes I refuse to watch are those in which Majel Barrett (the former Nurse Chapel from the original Star Trek), used her clout as Gene Roddenberry's wife to get the recurring role of Deanna Troi's overbearing mother. It seems like those episodes were written as nothing more than excuses to showcase Mrs. Roddenberry.

They should get Dean Stockwell on the show--he'd probably make a pretty good Vulcan.

A recent show is at the top of my barf list right now "The Job".

1.98 Beauty Show
Gong Show
Star Find (or whatever that show was that was for the "talented" people)

The Invaders. That show creeped me out as a kid.

Anyone remember Love of Chair? It was on The Electric Company. When we were kids we used to watch Love of Chair every day and laugh and giggle because it was so stupid.

I vote for the Gary interview with Connie as the number one worst show. That interview was so stupid it was funny.

I have 4 words for you:

A Team
Knight Rider

Who thought of those two? A car with more brains then it's driver, and a group of AWALL guys shooting at everyone and hitting no one, with a gold encrusted mowhawk dweeb who hated to fly and called everyone SUCKAHA!.

Let the barfing begin!

PS: Trouble with Tribbles-best Star Trek I ever saw!!

edited for a barfing error!
and again!!

Who??

I thought it was Gary Condit. Unless, this was, of course a mockery of names?

Talking to his car was good compared to him directing wet suited lifeguards around the beach. Guess Baywatch was a guy thing, huh?

In retrospect lots of the I Love Lucy shows were mundane, but could anybody beat her facial expressions? And some of the skits are classics, like the one working on the candy factory product line.

I vote survivor out!

Here is the ALL TIME WINNER.

In 1968 a TV show called TURN ON was produced. It was a Laugh In rip off. It was canceled after one show. In Denver, the station switched to cartoons half way through. The Network, sponsors, and production company came to agreement that the tapes of the one episode produced would be put in a vault, never to be shown again.
