Kraft,

As a matter of general principle no one should argue against another's right to show themself as a boorish unthinking lout for it is everyone's right to display such things as they see fit to do so.

JMHO2,

Back off, toke, will ya? You can disagree without being disagreeable.

Spaz

While not trying to be disagreeable, his initial post to me was to single me out for having an opinion. Why should I have to prove myself on this board? As you said it's not a court of law.

LOL Can you imagine us all being on a jury together? We probably would have a hung jury everytime.

I love you guys. This is what makes the world go 'round. We can disagree, agree, argue it out and then in the end we're okay (most of us are).

Meanwhile, hear about that guy calling himself Slavemaster who killed several women who met up with him through the internet? One claimed he stole her sex toys! Lordy! They found bodies in 40 gal drums in his storage shed. Tell me they didn't know what he wanted. He'll be found innocent by reason of insanity when and if they catch him. Watch and see.

krs & spazmodeus -

JMHO2, this might shock you, but toke has taught me a lot through her posts, whether I agree with her or not. Her posts actually said the same things I did except she said them first. Anyway, of course I can agree to disagree!

That's interesting about that Slavemaster thing. I think toke used to be called Slavemaster.....that's probably why she was trying to divert your attention with that stupid broccoli statement. I think toke killed those women.......

Here's your link.

I think I'll just put Toke on ignore. People like that are annoying to me IMO. They have these one or two liners that they pop up with but never really add anything of value. IMO IMO LOL

kraftdinner,

I could be wrong, but when someone refers to me as a "boorish unthinking lout," I hardly think it warrants a smiley.

Sorry spazmodeus. I didn't realize that krs was referring to you....I thought it was just a general statement. I think most of his posts/statements are pretty funny. Same goes for yours.

"IMO" is a handy little acronym; it's oftentimes useful for softening statements. But, just 'cause it's little, doesn't mean it can't be glaringly out of place. Style might not be everything, but it does count for something.

donny no one ever accused me of having style before, why should you? Do you think it matters to me?

Using IMO is just my way. They're my opinions and that's the way it is. You don't like them, I don't care. Don't read them.

Hey IMHO, I'm glad you showed up! Donny talked about 'IMO' and I figured out what that meant. But you've got an 'H' in your name. I guessed that the 'H' must mean 'halfbaked', but I wanted to verify it with you.

Spaz & Kraft

I was rudely interrupted by a huge thunderstorm yesterday, but meant to tell you my broccoli leaf remark was silly ( )...but true. Our entire neighborhood was full of feral cats for several years. One day I was in the garden, cutting broccoli heads, and a tiny kitten darted out from under one of the large bottom leaves. Scared me half to death. I put out a Have-a-Heart trap for weeks, but never saw the little guy again.

Speaking of disagree ( on politics )...where the heck is KatyD? I'm missing her posts...

It's not a question of liking or disliking your opinions, JMHO2, it's a question of what's an opinion and what's not. This is going to sound nitpicky, but I think it's worthwhile anyway, IMO's abound all over the 'net -

"Chocolate ice cream is the best flavor, in my opinion" - Okay

"Chocolate ice cream is my favorite flavor, in my opinion" - Huh?

Not everything is an opinion.

donny,

Obviously you want to make this a personal issue with me. I believe that's against the CG? Personal issues should be taken to e-mail, however, I do not wish to correspond with you further, so do not e-mail me.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I didn't interpret Donny's post as in any way a personal attack to an individual but rather merely an observation about online communication and specifically the use of the expression IMO. We all use it from time to time but usually more as a device than a need to state what is apparent.

JMHO2, I think they were just talking about the 'IMO' phrase and not you personally. I know it's hard to tell sometimes!

As far as your posts go, the fact that you're willing to stand up and make any kind of statement about your beliefs is a good thing, even if no one in the world agrees with what you think, it's still important to say what you feel....IMO.

I have never believed the Ramseys killed their daughter. Most of what the media reported during that time was inaccurate, such as that John Ramsey flew his own plane to Atlanta after the murder. He never flew the plane. The media never would correct any of its inconsistancies. The Ramseys gave out keys to their house like sticks of gum, anyone could've ended up with a key. They were too trusting. And the police never could find the person whose DNA matched what was at the crime scene, or the shoe print, or the hand print. A woman was killed a year later in the same manner a few blocks from the Ramsey home, they never found that killer either.

I have always slept with my daughter, ever since she was born. I have never rolled on top of her, and I'm probably the heaviest sleeper there is. I have 3 alarm clocks going off every morning to try and wake myself up, but most of the time I don't ever hear them. I'm planning on getting a few more for this semester.

I think the one about the 3 kids drowning sounds way suspicious. If I were a parent that had 2 children drown, I'd be watching #3 like a hawk.

Kraftdinner always the peacemaker.

Tiggress, Ramsey didn't fly out that night, but he had reservations with a private pilot. He thought better of it and didn't go.

They have more info than they're telling. There are some really good books out on the market written by people close to the case that you should read. One of them points directly to the parents. There are too many inconsistencies in their story and the stories told by the older daughter are frightening.

Money talks as we can see here and in other cases. If you have none, you're easily convicted - if you're rich, it's a cake walk.
No one in Atlanta wants too much to do with Ramsey anymore. Same with OJ. He had a fight with one of his neighbors over a stop sign and threatened him. The neighbor called the police. It won't be long before this man is back in jail.

Which brings me to Marcia Clark. I saw her on a tv show yesterday. It was one of those Judge shows, but I forgot which one. She was defending a client and lost. ROFL - she can't even win a tv case.

What was the name of that poster? Started with 'B' (no, not that one), and was banned from here. Went to another board somewhere--place started with 'b' too, kinda' sounded like paypal.

Just having a flash.

Oh, Marcia Clark has won the preponderance of her cases. Fine lawyer.
