"Bush has sought to turn around criticism of his tax cut, by saying critics are -- in fact -- advocating tax increases."
"If Democrats start talking about delaying tax cuts or rescinding tax cuts or not letting them go into effect or taking back people's rebate checks -- a tax hike is a tax hike is a tax hike, and all of those are tax hikes," White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said Friday. "That's why the Democrats are pursuing them."
The majority of voters did not vote for Bush because they did not believe what he had to say or trust him. However, many voters did believe him and the outright lies that he's been caught telling. Now he wants to put the heat on Democrats so that he can go borrow the money that he needs. He knows that he can push in that direction because no politican ever gives up his pork projects and he wants them to SHUT-UP! about the "lockbox" he's trying to pick so that he can pass his own monumental amount of pork. Obviously, most Americans will once again not be hoodwinked by the Blather from the White House -- but how many of his voters will still believe him in this arguement?

If they believe the stuff the preachers pass out then the stuff Bush has for them sounds slmost reasonable.

And even if they don't believe it, they'll support him because they're bound and determined that their little idiot is better for the country than our "Sacred Bull."

Yea, and now he's going to hit the road to touch base with the regular folk. He wants to let everyone know he feels their pain. Well, the pain in my a%s isn't going to go away until he does, because that's what he is.

Your sacred bull wasn't running in the last election...how quickly they forget!! He was very busy passing out pardons that had been paid for if you recall...and the shadow Gore was resting up for getting a personality so that he could make a speech that would keep potential voters awake!
Oh yes, I forgot, Bill & Hillary were also very busy loading up the moving vans with furniture and such that eventually had to be returned to the White House...and if I recall (I have no links) but the Democrats were running on a platform of even greater tax cuts...I suppose that was just a piss and scratch posture and they wouldn't have followed thru!

Zilvy, never underestimate the power of Satan to deceive the innocent, the Do-Gooder, and others who are concerned enough. HOW ARE ALL THE FOLKS THAT ARE SOOOO DOWN ON THE REPUBLICANS FOR THE TAX CUTS ABLE TO IGNORE THE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE DEMOCRATS WERE WORKING ON A GREATER TAX CUT DURING THE "ELECTION"?

Bush's campaign tax cut was only $436 million. Somehow it grew a thousand fold so as to include his corporate benefactors.
By the way, Bush doesn't sleep with Laura.

Marty, I have refrained from addressing Zilvy for such a long time now due to what I feel is childish behavior. However, even after being warned by your supervisor, Zilvy continues to follow me around and make nasty comments towards me or participates in hepburn's Borillar-bashing theads on AW. I've made every effort to keep the peace and abide by the rules and rulings and ignore Zilvy. However, I feel that I MUST speak out against CENSORSHIP when such things are being applied to me.
