"Donny, watch it now. That smile might crack your face."

No worries on that count.

What you fail to realize, or perhaps do realize, and don't care, is that anything that includes some people excludes other people. While the included people get all warm and cuddly, the excluded people (whether excluded intentionally or thoughtlessly), very likely will be hurt. But hey, this is a happy thread, so don't let that bother you!

There are so many - I'm not going to try to list for fear of missing one as donny says. I got picked last for a few teams also.
I am touched anyone likes my stories. I find that face to face usually the truer the story the less people believe it.
I like hearing about all the people with kids because I never had any - all I could do was borrow them and I have always had to return them before they were fully corrupted.
I really like hearing about the pets - They make me sneeze and wheeze so I don't have any - but I like them - and for some reason they like me.
It is encouraging hearing other people fighting to overcome health problems the same as I do.
There seems to be a quota system - we all have horrid relatives.
Sometimes it is just a bit of a thrill to see a poster who rarely says anything or you thought had left.
I seem to ramble on and on but some of you make me LOL in two or three words.
The pics are appreciated. I had a hard time opening up enough to post a pic of my desk.
The outdoor shots of peoples yards, towns (and mules and pigs) are really nice. Especially because I can't travel right now and miss it.
Thanks -

What do you want me to do? List every person in the RT? You must be very insecure, Donny. How sad for you to feel this is exclusionary. It isnt, and you damn well know it. But what the hey? Why not bust butt to come into this thread and spread your own frowns. Read into it what you will. It must be awfully lonely where you are.

There have been enough frowns lately in here. Im tired of it, myself. So, Im spreading alittle cheer. Why not give it a try Donny? Who will it hurt to say HEY, I LIKE YOU, or HEY, I LIKE YOUR POSTS? Nobody is going to feel left out because this isnt about me me me or you you you. Its about making someone/anyone SMILE. Get it?

Why is it hurtful?

Larry, Moe, and Curly come to your home where you are having a dinner party. As they enter you announce, "Here's Moe! I love this guy, he's a joy to be around." Now you put your arms around Curly, "This is Curly, he's one of the funniest guys you'll meet!" Now you tell your guests, "Anyone need their drink freshened?"

You're right, Moe's and Curly's feelings weren't hurt, nobody gets hurt by a compliment. Excuse me while I go talk to Larry, he's looking a bit down.

Don't get me wrong Hepburn, I believe your intentions are positive, but I also believe Donny's statement about 'hurtful' has merit.

Maybe I made a mistake in starting this thread. My INTENTION was to make someone/anyone smile. The boards have been tough lately, and I am weary of the fights and arguments and bad feelings I may have caused, or have been extended to me.

My apologies if I offended anyone. I didnt think before posting this. To whom it may concern: I am well aware that I am not a favorite poster of some and have stepped on some toes. Cant please everyone, I guess. But, there are many in this forum that I enjoy reading their posts, regardless of what they may think of me. I dont expect the same feelings from those same posters. I know I grate on nerves, but like someone else said somewhere else, some are just born that way. Someone told me they enjoyed my posts and it made me feel good. I wanted to share that "feel good" feeling. I wont make the same mistake twice in trying to extend what I feel, towards a mass of people that I cant possibly all name and they may feel left out. Too late now to rectify it and I wont have this locked unless the majority thinks it best. Live and learn.

I see what you're both saying (uaru & Donny) but I also think that it's a bit like saying that we shouldn't give anyone the medicine since we can't give it to everyone... And, I say this as I look around fervently for my name on one single post that says I like mybiddness.

Well, geeez people - what the hells wrong with me that not a single one of you goons had the common decency to say that you like me? sigh....... Now, I'm so depressed that I forgot what my point was.

never mind... I'll be o.k.... really, just carry on. See if I care if no one here likes me.

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!
