Turnip greens, hands down. As a side note, do NOT keep the Bengay in the same bedside drawer as the KY jelly!

I agree that the most terrible taste for me was "the barium stuff". I couldn't keep it down either. But Pepto Bismo runs a very close second.

Okra - YUCK!

Hep - I don't eat spinach (plain) either, but love it in that spinach dip that's served in sourdough bread loaves.

Ipecac, jagermeister, and brussel sprouts all tie for first in my "WILL NOT EAT" book.

Asparagus/okra/barium solution/buttermilk.

sadie! I'm surprised you don't like scallops. Was it from a bad experience?

Another really vile thing you wouldn't even think of is olives.....raw olives. I LOVE olives and one day the grocery store had a batch of fresh ones....for pickling. I thought I'd try one and almost died. Nothing could get rid of the taste. If you ever get the chance, try it. (A great idea for a snack for the "Guest's That Won't Leave"!

Shadowcat: Are you a Garrison Keillor fan (Lake Wobegon)? He talks about that horrible lutefisk all the time. He told a story about a dog who was ready to be put down because he was old and sick, and he ate a full jar of lutefisk and the next thing his owners knew he was jumping, and running, and was back to his old self.

Okay I'm in with Liver, it is almost as bad as Castor Oil .....I don't know if you have the same thing in the US but we have the most disgusting thing called Castor Oil and mothers' used to give it to there children when they had tummy ache, or if they were bad for whatever reason. It is what you could call an all purpose tonic. It was a really good incentive to stay healthy and good. It has the most dreadful taste that says with you in your memory for life.

Mayo, liver & grease (mom emptied her grease pan into an empty soda can for coolin' - me I just thought I was snitchin' an extra gulp of soda - yuk!

Nyquil "fans" - dontcha love that "squished face/clenched mouth/head shake that ya get right after ya drink the little cup down?....Even when you're all stuffed up and can't taste a thing, that nyquil "flavor" wakes up the old taste buds!!!

Nettak, when I was young my mother put Castol Oil into my orange juice EVERYDAY!...Knowing her, it was probably something she felt would keep me "regular"...For YEARS I thought orange juice was THE most disgusting beverage on the planet!

Muriel: Nope, don't listen to GK. The MIL's family is Norwegian and Swedish and the relatives make that glop for family gatherings.

Fortunately for me, the tom detests the stuff. If he had liked it and had expected me to make it, we would surely have divorced before our six month anniversary.

1. Lettuce. It literally gags me. Even a teensy piece of it half the size of a fingernail. That's the only food I've ever tasted that seriously made me want to puke.

2. Beets, at Thanksgiving, when you're a kid expecting cranberry sauce! (Hey, they LOOK alike!)

3. Dark liquors. Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, etc. Now, give me a glass of rum or vodka, and I'm *fine*.

I actually like chicken liver (fried -- as long as I don't look at it), and okra (fried until it's almost black).
