I've never hidden my identity -- godzillatemple is my eBay username, and it's the only ID I have used to post here at AW.
However, just in case some of my posts have left people feeling a little confused as to who I "really" am, allow me to "reveal" the following [many people here already know all this, so it's not a big secret]...
I did go to law school, passed the Massachusetts bar, and am currently licensed to practice law in this state. However, due to various circumstances I won't go into, I never actually practiced law. I spent a number of years designing legal software systems for a variety of large law firms, and later in-house for a Boston law firm, and recently changed careers entirely to become the Senior Technical Writer for a start-up medical imaging software company.
I was born Jewish [and still consider myself to be Jewish], but my parents converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints [a.k.a. the "Mormon" church] when I was young, and that is how I was raised. About 3 years ago, however, I decided to stop going to church and now consider myself non-religious.
All right, so nothing really earth-shattering, I admit...

I have a confession to make too.
One of the favorite activities of old-time posters is to try to "guess" the previous identity of new posters.
Well, I've never had any name other than "krs" on any on-line chat board.

Not at all. I'd told so many people it wasn't fun anymore to be Newt. After Sept 11 I just don't think I had Newt in me anymore anyway. Besides I was trying to get a few other trolls to confess but darn, no one took the bait!
Doesn't mean there isn't another little troll in there somewhere.

LOL...nope, not me anyway. The forums might be staying, but I dont know yet if I will. Debating it. "Pondering". Glewt was retiring anyway, so I dont regret "outting" him. He was harmless and not alot of people knew him anyway.

I will be retiring from the boards...
I have yet to find any reasonable explanation to give my "CREDIT" card number to someone who is not selling me something.
It makes NO sense, and I will not be made vulnerable.
I am in the computer industry, and I KNOW how UNSAFE your info is online.
THAT is why I am so anon, or an "anon coward" as some ass's prefer to call it.

I haven't put that info on any public board and I'm not sure why I put it up now.
I didn't want anyone treating me differently-hell, I get enough of that from the tom and the kittens(I'm not complaining, really. It's just that I *know* they've cut me slack they wouldn't normally).

shadowcat - I am so sorry to hear that. I've seen you post about your hair, but I thought you were joking because of what's going on in our world. Like pulling your hair out because of it. I am so sorry. Hope the chemo (?) puts you in remission. I've seen it happen many times. Stay positive please, even though I can only imagine what you're feeling.

Muriel: Yeah, I'm serious, unfortunately. Right now I'm in what my doc calls "near remission", which means there hasn't been any tumor growth from one set of tests to another. I went in for more tests this past week to find out if I am in full remission or if I will be need a bone marrow transplant. If I am in remission, the doc says I get to have my implanted catheter pulled. If not, plans will be made for me to undergo an autologous bone marrow transplant.
Can you guess which outcome I'm rooting for?

Hepburn I don't post very often - the last few days have been the exception though. I got my courage and felt compelled to, I guess. Looks like I made it just in time
For the most part, I've sat in the rafters and read and I've enjoyed every moment of it.
Sgtmike because I've never seen anyone that pisses krs off more Those long ago battles were highly entertaining from a spectator's POV.
