Hepburn,

It's clear that you have been "around".

I haven't tried to deny that. I simply said that you will be here after November 1 because there is no action at the bar. Your friend, Barry should learn that fluff doesn't sell.

Nearthesea, I agree with you that there are some nice people at the bar and some nice fluff. In fact, it's so "nice" that it can almost lull you into a deep, profound, hypnotic sleep.

If that's what you like, go for it.

Helen

I find myself wondering if this bar will request that patrons be over the age of 21.

Then I realize that even with age restrictions, there will always be childish behavior.

Anybody else noticing that several posters are being much more agressively insulting towards each other today than usual? Especially folks that are usually non-confrontational? I'm seeing it in several threads. It's almost as if those that have remained quiet realize that this is their chance to splew what they've been repressing.

Hey, I just posted my 100th entry - will AW give me a star for that? Gonna need some extra perks to convince me to stay.

You mean one cannot be at 2 places now?

You can be lots of places. If there is someplace you want to be (and aren't yet), go register quick, before some troll grabs your screen name

I have wondered, in a curious way...

How come it's always a "bar" or a "lounge" or a "hot tub"? Why can't there be like a "park" or a "living room" or a "pizza parlor"....or something?

But whatever, if one doesn't care for it, one should just not go there and let that be a statement of it's own.

Search for "Pow Wow", James. Was a LONG time ago but I assume it's still out there somewhere.

That sounds nice. I used to like Tiny Tim because everyone got to make their own setting and invite people over. There were mazes, and livingrooms, and dark starry nights, and sunny knolls...
Hated that blasted clock. Stupid clock.

Everytime the mods step in they say we are still going by the old rules. When will the new rules be posted? There has to be some rules so what are they going to be?

I just got off work, and am catching up.

Helen, I like barry, and I will go wherever he is, just to show my support and because he is my friend and has been for some time. If I want fluff, I know where it is. If I want "other stuff", there are places that will oblige. I just dont see why its necessary to be rude in stating your opinion about Barry's place when he doesnt deserve it and especially from you, whom he greeted and welcomed and obliged by your drive by demands to lock as soon as you posted what you felt you had to. To show courtesy back, one does not slam someone who has shown the same courtesy to you. If you dont get that, then I cant help ya with manners you dont have nor understand.

Smitty, I havent done or said anything insulting. At least, I dont think I have. Sometimes the truth hurts. Espceially those who dont want to hear it.

Im done now.

Leaning so far toward no that the chair is tipping over !

From what I see here now with moderators, I relly don't want to see it without!

Guess I'll really go back to listing again and get some work done. I've about gotten all the knowledge I can get out of the ebay threads anyway.

Will miss some of the funny ones here tho, but I guess I'll see most of you in other places.

If not, best of luck to you all!

I don't think Barry is trying sell anything. He doesn't charge a cent.

He is giving away comraderie. Youre right, Muriel. To live in strife and worry all the time, especially with current events, its nice to know there is fluff to soothe and re gather strength to go back into the foray, yes?

So what, so if it is a kind and welcoming place, isn't that a good thing?

Don't you like to be around warm and friendlys once and awhile

Nearthesea

I like nice people...don't get me wrong...just keep me away from ciphers!

LoL!

Hepburn

I've been working on my computer all day so I just read your little zinger.

You know, I think that an unmoderated board is more successful when nothing is taken too very seriously. Silence is sometimes golden.

For example, I read your post and thought to myself...that little insult is pure nonsense and everybody knows it.

So I won't get all hot and bothered.

A New Me!!! LOL
