If you wish to say that English is the language which the United States uses in conducting its official business, that would be correct. To state that English is the official language of the United States has a different meaning and that statement would be incorrect.

Again Mikey,

"Please cite ONE piece of official US Government business"---the official 2001 White House observation of Cinco de Mayo, during which dumbya gave a speech entirely in Spanish.

Incorrect. EVERY country has at least one official language, the language(s) that are used in all official government business. For the US, that language is English.

Regarding the Cinco de Mayo speech, that was not official goverment business. There was no policy, bill, or law involved. Just a wonderful holiday greeting. Nice try though.

Bull. Had you listened to the speech you'd know tht it consisted in large measure of promises of changes in policy vis-a-vis Mexico, immigration, and work permitting of aliens in this country. Clearly a statement of policy as well as a simpering grab for more votes.

on the subject of english when our ancestors came here they were they minority yet they were resposible for all the progress that took place, now there are over 200 million of us the minorities might do well to keep that in mind when biting the hand that feeds them

who is picking the food ? was someone dumb enought to suggest that minorities produce our food supply ? For the most part white farmers being reduced to serfdom by large foreign owned coprorations. and while we are at it our big cities are being reduced to rubble when it's unfit to walk at night or send kids to school and if a foreign nation was doing what the minorities have done with their government bestowed equality we would have bombed them out of existance. the only reason mexicans leave mexico is that the place is run by mexicans. if it was run by whites it would be like every other white country it would have sewers schools and the rest and I dont care if you dont like what I say the silly teachings of dr boas have gone on long enough theyre are 2450million whites here who now realize that the government not only will not look out for their interests but is activly engaged in destroying their future.
When a people is driven to their destruction by the instrument of a government authority, then it is not only the right but the duty of every given menber of that people to rebel.
We have a right to exist and not see our country turned into a tower of babel by people to stupid to have learned a 3,000 year old lesson

That would be me.

I'm not sure how to reply to your post because I can't really understand it.

I see you are a Printer/wholesaler by trade.

3.printing difficult items

I hope you pay your proofreader well. Your post is littered with spelling, gramatical and factual errors (2450million whites?). I was going to chalk it up to your writing with a blind passion for your feelings...but then I looked at your bio.

Interests: 1.meeting a marriage minded redhaed ...

I came out of lurking because I have an official date ... March 22nd. Moving to Chicago! no more auction stuff.

Maybe it's more fun lurking.

I'm not sure who was the troll here, maybe me. I apologize.

Carry on, I repeat what I said earlier about the subject of this thread ... "Don't sweat the small stuff"

Jeez!

The only positive point I can find about auroranorth's post is that he's making the X-File-type political conspiracy threads look mighty good by comparison. Never thought you'd hear me say that, but whoomp there it is.

yeah I should update the bio but so what! as far as the typos I could have taken them out with a proof reader but I generally find most people make up their minds regardless of the facts, and Cabrini Green apartments in Chicago has a few openings ever since jane Byrne and half the Chicago pd moved out. its really sad how people will rush forth to defend anything but their own people.

The fact is that the former mayor of Chicago lived in the infamous Cabrini Green apartments for one month....and I suspect that half the Chicago Police had to live there with her as protection during that month. I understand that bodies were thrown out like trash and that because of constant gunfire, driving in the neighborhood was unsafe.. That was 20 years agol

What's happening in the Chicago area now?

We are getting off topic.

Some of these threads are like a flight of ideas which is somewhat crazy at times.

arttsupplies- graMatical???????

Probably one or two mistakes in every post I make but auroranorth has taken sloppy posting to a whole new level. I don't spellcheck my posts to this board.

I'd like to appologize (The reference to the printing trade caused my little jab) because I think Borillar hit it on the head in another thread. We've got an ESL thing going here.

...and Cabrini Green apartments in Chicago has a few openings ever since jane Byrne and half the Chicago pd moved out. its really sad how people will rush forth to defend anything but their own people.

I'll respond to this if you can explain to me in simple english why you put this in your post ...

Some of these threads are like a flight of ideas which is somewhat crazy at times.

Some posts can get quite lyrical at times. I do enjoy prose but I don't think they are meant to be read this way.

well well, offended by bad grammer ? Tsk tsk, now maybe you have an idea of what the Majority thinks of this tower of babel Spanish nonsense. he he he, aparently no room for diversity here eh ? I doubt that the lesson will be understood by the proponents. Seems to me bad grammer would be more acceptable to having no idea at all of what someone had said.

I'm not offended by bad grammer. I was making fun of you because you profess to enjoy 3.printing difficult items and you cant spell half the words you use.

Is English your first language?

anything someone says, offends someone now a days. perhaps the beauty of speaking other langauges is that you won't have any idea of what offends you, unless someone says it to you in a langauge you understand.

I wanted to play the little game but I've now given up.

My definition of a troll:

posting inflammatory statements and then not having the decency to respond in an articulate enough way to the questions asked of such posts.

signing off.
