I reluctantly left one off the list because the poor woman just can't help herself. She was born with her foot in her mouth. LOLOL!
and a thorn.

It is being reported that the cause of death is officially"undetermined" but that it was a homicide.

Everyone is hoping for a break in the case. The memorial service is today and the remains are supposed to be sent to the family for burial. I keep thinking about the Ramsey child.

Fox news is reporting that there is no evidencen either way that she was killed at the park OR if the body was brought to the park after being killed.

Does anyone know if the park has vehicle traffic anywhere near the area where the body was found? If so she may have been dumped there, if not it is very unlikely!

stusi is your definition of "vehicle" being a car, truck, pickup etc? What about a golf car? or other similar vehicle that can be used on paths. Any vehicle used can leave some evidence.

stusi, you are Jewish, right? I was wondering if you could educate this ignorant person about the "cap" that Jewish men use for covering. About an hour ago on Fox there was a "home movie" with Chandra. She and another woman who looked like a sister, were wearing the "caps." I thought only men wore them. TIA for the education

clarksville- it would be very unlikely that a golf cart would be used to transport a body. It would have to be a vehicle with a trunk or enclosed flatbed. Regarding your other question- I have never heard of a woman wearing a yarmulke. They sometimes wear a piece of lace or a regular hat to services.

thanks stusi. I will look closer the next time.

As for using a golf car or similar vehicle shouldn't be ruled out. It is possible that the body could have been transported without people "noticing." Does the park use similar vehicles for their maintenance/landscaping? One could either use the crew's vehicle or disguise a vehicle so that people thought it was a maintence/landscaping crew.

Apparently a ring from her mother that she always wore was not found at the site. A very accurate sketch done by the jeweler is being shown in the media. Maybe someone will recognize it.

Private investigators hired by the Levy's have found a shin bone about 50 feet from where her remains were found. Why the D.C. police failed to find it is now being investigated. Another incident of a law enforcement blunder in a case of national prominence.

It's fortunate the Levy's have the $$ to hire their own investigator. Now that this 'oversight' by the DC police has been found it makes me think maybe they might have missed Chandra's ring too.

"It's fortunate the Levy's have the $$ to hire their own investigator. Now that this 'oversight' by the DC police has been found it makes me think maybe they might have missed Chandra's ring too.

It's unfortunate that it's necessary to hire an investigator to examine what has been investigated not just once but twice by the DC police. It makes you wonder how overwhelming the incompetence can possibly be.

Just think of the number of innocent people who have been executed due to police investigative incompetence.

And these poor people don't have the "$$" as you indicate.

Right, Linda_K

You implied it. I made it perfectly clear.

I didn't intend criticism of your post.

A shinbone and wire found. So far they aren't sure if the items are connected with Levy.
The wire could have been used by a park maintenance person to kill her or the killer could have take a wire from a tree or the wire is not connected with Levy. That is if she was killed.

The two investigators, who are working for Levy's parents, found the items Thursday afternoon in their examination of the steep hillside where much of Levy's remains and clothing were found.

Billy Martin, lawyer for the Levy family, said it is "disturbing" that police didn't find the bone and the wire during the search.

Police are trying to determine if the wire was used to harm Levy, LoJacono said. The wire appeared to be the same kind used by the National Park Service to secure trees in the sprawling park, he said.

Police said they would search the site again to see if they could find other overlooked evidence.

Actually it was anthropologists/bone experts from the Smithsonian that were responsible for the recovery.
