Yes it does seem warm in here. Have to open the window up.

You betcha we can be sexy and moral. But I want to do that with my wife. Yeah I know I am strange. I guess some couples have an "understanding" I just can't see that they have a marraige anymore except as a legal contract. My own idea of marraige is rather narrow but as a legal contract there is no reason to limit it. I'd have no trouble with someone else having a different form.

The fact that we have one kind of marraige with only one spouse allowed here is simply an establishment of religion by law that should not be allowed.

A secular marraige should be written like a contract for whatever terms the principals want.

Polygamy - Polyandry - Line marraiges - seperate non-conflicting - group marraiges - term contracts all should be legal. It is the preachers that will keep that from happening.

>>Yeah I know I am strange.<<

What's strange? I don't think that's strange.

If I was with a guy, and he screwed around on me, I'd cut his dick off and sew it in his mouth.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Oh my. The image that conjurs up (the member in the mouth image). Sounds like an historical romance I read a long time ago...woman pirate with very sharp sword, pass made by some lowly bossun's mate getting fresh with said pirate female capitan...slash slash..."umph umph" mumbles DISmembered bossun's mate, "there that outta do it" says she while wiping her hands afterwards.

edited to make more sense.

Thanks for clarifying that, Calamity, as I was about to post the same: it's quid-pro-quo. Interns hope to exchange sexual favors for a good job. I'm certainly not trying to excuse a 60-year old cogressman letch for having an affair with a 20-year old, but there's enough blame to go around on both sides.

Kraft & Gravid: LOL!

KD: >>So I take it you've never been with a guy that screwed around nycyn...<<

Who knows? Probably not tho'. Guys I've threatened with that one seemed to like it--makes them feel secure and wanted or something. Or scared.

Twinsoft,
I have to think that there are psychological problems on both sides. What you won't do won't come back to haunt you.
Bye the way---Hello, hope you have been well.

Calamity - Add my name to the list who are so happy to see you posting here again.

OnT: I agree with much of what you and gravid have shared. I'm from the old school where marriage means a union of two...not two plus who ever looks interesting at the time.

Different times....different morals.

Relationships in the work place used to be frowned upon. Now more people are dating [etc] people within their own place of employment than ever before. They spend so much time working, to some it's the only socialization they have.

Hello nycyn - I've read many of your posts. Sounds like you've been through a lot in recent months. I hope things get easier for you and your son very soon.

You and I aren't in agreement on most political issues though. And that's fine. But I really don't think this is "Part of the Bush Family Values campaign". It's my opinion that he is one of the few in Washington who does believe in family values.

Now, isn't this lovely. LindaK and Hepburn back on the same day!

And LindaK is talking about family values of the Bush family. Wonder why they don't rub off on his own family... Jenna and Barbara and Jebb and Neil...not to mention George, himself. LOL!

Welcome back, Linda

Hi back at you, Kraftdinner...thanks for the welcome. Feels odd posting again, yet good at the same time. Hope all is well with you.

Helen....know just how you feel. Every time I see both you and KRS spell the swear word 'dam', rather than 'damn', I wonder too. But I do believe I've seen Hep posting here before today. Can't find the search anymore to verify that though....

Thanks for the welcome.

Helen, I saw what you wrote and, although it's just my 2 cents worth, I didn't see that Hepburn was centering you out at all. I'm sure if a poster brought up any old thread, you would see one or a few of us acting up. That's just the way we are.

FWIW, I was raised in the deep south on a cotton plantation. Segregation is something very familiar to me too Helen.

Anyway, you (and others) have been so interesting and great to get along with lately, I'm sure that's why Hepburn showed up in the first place. Let's all just understand that we'll all agree to disagree once in awhile...and twice as much when there's a full moon.

Hi there Kraftdinner!

As you could see, I welcomed Hepburn and even invited her friend Zilvy.

I posted several times to her pet peeve thread and then she stabbed me in the back.

TO HELL WITH THAT KIND OF UNSCRUPULOUS NONSENSE. I WILL NO LONGER ENTERTAIN ANY POSSIBILITY THAT I WILL GET ALONG WITH HEPBURN, MAUI, MAUIMOODS, SHEBEJAMIN OR WHATEVER ELSE SHE CHOOSES TO CALL HERSELF.

Helen

The thread, "I Remember When" has been moved to the top so that everyone will be able to understand why I object to Hepburn's choice and her "advice" to "Ignore the bad memories of times gone by of bickering and fighting. Just read the fun ones.

It's not funny, Hepburn.

Hey, Linda_k and Rawbunzel. Hope you all have been well, too.

Life is good here if it would just stop raining but then again if it stops raining I'm afraid we will go into the usual drought. The weather is really getting weird!

LOL @ hep's bottle of chill pills....keep them handy please.

Hi rawbunzel - sorry to read about your cat - hope it all works out.

Calamity - Can't remember what part of the country you're in....but we've had lots of rain here too. Our two lake levels here are up 20 feet over normal. We've enjoyed the rain as it hasn't been a constant thing....rains really hard for a short period of time then it's beautiful. But all the fisherman are having fits as most of the boat launching docks are completely underwater and un-usable. The parking lot of the commercial boat dock we use is totally under water....what a sight.
