Krafty,Ohhhhhhhh no you don't! Get your fanny back here! This is a open forum, Everyone is intitled to say what they feel.
People change after a couple of days,How many times have you seen people in here tear each other apart, only to turn around and have a nice conversation? Happens all the time. That goes for the others who arent posting right now.........You know who you are.

Kraftdinner, I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your comments.

If you will read the Veterans day thread, you will see the basis for my anger. Apparently, I mistakenly believed that when you mentioned "foot in the mouth" that you were 'repeating' or 'rubbing in' the same remark that LindaK made to Krs about "'poping' in to try and help her remove her foot from her mouth". (meaning me)
If I am wrong, I apologize. I was embarrassed and angry that after Krs was kind enough to point out that the original comment was taken out of context that she would involve him in my problem. I hope that you understand my frame of mind at the time and why I was confused about your comment.

Since Krs is a vietnam veteran, who has two awards for heroism under fire and the Purple Heart, 17 awards of other combat related significance and some Vietnamese award for Gallantry, along with three presidential valorous unit citations the comments by LindaK were especially inappropriate to address on Veteran's day in that particular thread.

The original question was and the title to this thread was....

Does US Politics Affect US Neighbors?

How about this question....

Does the effect of US politics on US Neighbors affect the US?????

The events of 9/11 give that question a resounding YES!!!

As George Bush so eloquently put it when talking about the UN, if they didn't vote the way HE wanted, they would be irrelevent.

And that is how the US has treated other countries and groups over these many years. If a country or group didn't meet our standards of cooperation and subjucation, or have somthing of value we wanted to TAKE, they were treated as irrelevent, pisants of global society. Cuba being a prime example. What has Castro done that other communist leaders and dictators, who are our bestest buds, haven't done 10 times worse. Castro's crime....refusing entry to the rape of his countymen by US corporation. The plight of the people become irrelevent. Yes some irrelevent countries we helped, only after global pressure was applied, not because of compassion. Heck, we would have been happy to leave Afghanistan as it is, with the Taliban in charge, if it weren't for the pipeline.

But on 9/11, the radical element of one of these irrelevent groups attacked us...what a surprise....to really no one. It never was a question to us as to IF and WHY, but WHEN and WHERE.
.................................................

I live in my own little world, but it is Okay...They know me here.

And that is a problem - for us! I mean, when Bush acts like a World Bully, they can't hit him in the nose to strike back. So they have to attack and kill Americans, both here at home and abroad. You won't catch me outside the USA while this tortoletarian regeime is now in power. Too dangerous!
