Bear, you're right, I'm the stud and you're an old impotent bald fat man.

I can take the heat, that's why I'm still hear listening to your garbage. I'm not name calling, I'm calling things the way I see them. You've gotten facts backwards, failed back things up with facts and you mostly whine without any intelligent information. That has earned you the nickname, moron. Owe up to the fact you are one and don't blame me for making the observation.

If the best you can do to dergrade me is by bashing my name, you are real immature and not fit for further discussion. You still have to live with yourself and your mistakes, no escaping that.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

"I can't believe I'm trying to teach this kid history."

Telling me to go to the library and read some books is your idea of teaching? By the way, what is the lesson you're trying to teach me?

And don't call me a kid, I'm not a goat.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Quick you misspelled a word. Should have been "DUD" not stud. Hell you didn't even understand the slam correctly. Must be the acne medication interfering with your teen hormones.

I'm not name calling,

No you just have a limited vocabularity, Dumb, Stupid, Moron.

JUST A COMMON SOLDIER
(A Soldier Died Today)
by A. Lawrence Vaincourt

He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past
Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one.

And tho' sometimes, to his neighbors, his tales became a joke,
All his Legion buddies listened, for they knew whereof he spoke.
But we'll hear his tales no longer for old Bill has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer, for a soldier died today.

He will not be mourned by many, just his children and his wife,
For he lived an ordinary and quite uneventful life.
Held a job and raised a family, quietly going his own way,
And the world won't note his passing, though a soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth, their bodies lie in state,
While thousands note their passing and proclaim that they were great.
Papers tell their whole life stories, from the time that they were young,
But the passing of a soldier goes unnoticed and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution to the welfare of our land
A guy who breaks his promises and cons his fellow man?
Or the ordinary fellow who, in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his Country and offers up his life?

A politician's stipend and the style in which he lives
Are sometimes disproportionate to the service that he gives.
While the ordinary soldier, who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal and perhaps, a pension small.

It's so easy to forget them for it was so long ago,
That the old Bills of our Country went to battle, but we know
It was not the politicians, with their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom that our Country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger, with your enemies at hand,
Would you want a politician with his ever-shifting stand?
Or would you prefer a soldier, who has sworn to defend
His home, his kin and Country and would fight until the end?

He was just a common soldier and his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us we may need his like again.
For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days.
Perhaps just a simple headline in a paper that would say,
Our Country is in mourning, for a soldier died today.

Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.

Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the soldier
or sailor,
God keep.
On the land
or the deep,
Safe in sleep.

Love, good night,
Must thou go,
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well.
Speedeth all
To their rest.

Fades the light;
And afar
Goeth day,
And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well;
Day has gone,
Night is on.

Thanks and praise,
For our days,
'Neath the sun,
Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.

AMEN

No, stud is spelled STUD, check your dictionary, moron. Not only does your slam not make sense, nothing you have ever said has.

Your style of argument is anti-productive. Your constant bashing and no intelligent info turns people away from your stance. I see war is a common theme in your life. How awful, and destructive! Your gravestone will read, "I killed: I destroyed." Yea be proud!

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Quick, there you go with your self description of yourself, "MORON".

Your rantings are typical of a hormore riddled adolescent.

Stop staring at the SUN, its affecting what little BRAIN you have left.

Typically any discussion that is contrary to yours is counter productive. A fault any unfortunate offspring will undoubtedly inherent. That is a true crime.

quickdraw29, you say you are a stay at home father with children?

I hope you are a better role model to them than what you are portraying here.

Hopefully you don't call them morons when they mess up or spill their milk or something. And I am hoping that your inner frustration is vented out here and not on them.

For your criticism to have credibility and impact you need show more, back up your statements with facts!

Right now you look like a moron. Besides, you're way off track of the subject matter which indicates you have nothing more intelligent to say.

Anyway, enough discussing your faults and embarrassing life.

I think if we can get started a Non-Veterns Day parade, just by contacting some grass roots organizations we can get some good press and build it into a National Holiday. What do you think about that idea bear? Do you want to help?

A broken record stuck on the word MORON. When you have something to say I'll start listening.

And WHY have you even bothered to say anything about Vets. You admitted you were too chicken to join, because you didn't want to chance being shot at or having you legs blown off.

Typical of a panty waisted freak.

People join the military for different reasons, but one reason all that join should know and remember, when you train for war as a soldier airman ,marine or sailor keep in mind you train for peace too no service member in their right unrambo mind wants war.

Quickdraw made a choice and has an opinion on this subject and I respect that. His choice was not going in the military and that is ok with me. His opinion is his own and his right by birth in this country.

I will not go into long speech how our fathers and grandfathers and ancestors fought for our right to speak freely or to vote or to go where we want.

There are times in the military I questioned foreign policy , but I took an oath and I defended our country and flag. but I voted in the next election and made my opinion known.

Since the Korean war, the US government has gotten into some stupid senseless wars or conflicts, were good citizen soldiers died.

However at those times since the Korean war, our government thought they were doing a good thing by coming to the aid of any government asking for help, and helping them fight for their Democracy thus the United States becoming the police force of the world. People look back at these conflicts years later and ask why in the heck did we do that or why did we not do it this way.
( remember hindsight is 20 /20 )

Since the draft was dropped after the Vietnam war, people who go into the armed forces do it voluntary and would be pretty naive to think that a war or conflict would never happen while they are in.

Yes I am one those, who is getting bald but I blame that on the helmet I wore (always itched my scalp ) I am also getting a little paunchy around the middle, but I blame that on my knees and back because of a training accident. I served almost 20 years in the military and was retired.

There are two days of the year were we honor or war dead and those who served.

Quickdraw I know you would rather have a Peace day than an Non Veterans day

No I have to get back to ebay and live that American dream and get rich on ebay
