You're right Helen. I have a thing about women having children that aren't mentally or financially prepared for the responsibility. I would rather see them get their tubes tied if they're going to live irresponsibly and have multiple abortions or kids they can't raise. Abortion should be the very last option, but instead, it's being used as a quick way to get rid of unwanted pregnancies.
It would be nice, if all the information on birth control available was able to sink in. It would mean less abortions and less unwanted children. Instead, society faces a crises where many of the children we do have don't get enough to eat, etc. Although my 'plan' is a ficticious one Helen, I think something harsh will be needed in the future to force these women to be responsible because the figures show they can't do it on their own and the governments that support them are running out of money.
And just to clarify, when I say stupid people, I mean people that choose to ignore common sense. Like the chick that sued McDonalds.

I look at abortion from a religious point of view. If I were not religious, I would probably be pro-choice. Why should a woman have a baby if she doesn't want one? Get rid of it.
But I believe that God is our creator and I believe that God strongly disapproves of us snuffing out a life that He created in the womb. It's kind of like flipping the bird to God.

twinsoft - all good reasons...point made.

Calamity - Always good to see you here, even when you don't agree with me

clarificaton - The two 'cultures' of women are in the U.S. who are the ones choosing to abort fetus' ONLY because they are females. I was not referring to women in other countries. They are cultures that have relocated here, but now follow the practices they had in their own countries. Presenting new problems to the abortion issue, that we weren't dealing with for most of the years since Roe. vs Wade.

KD - IMO, it's not all either pro or anti-abortion. There's lots of gray areas in there. One is not sitting on the fence because they don't feel it's 'all or nothing'. There are many issues where a compromise could be reached, by both sides, that might have a chance of working to eliminate the majority of abortions.
