His behavior from the beginning is arrogant. Laughing with friends at the candlelight vigil. Jogging just days after she's missing. Traveling to the SuperBowl. Lying about an affair. SELLING HER CAR???? All this points to: he knows she isn't coming home. And he thinks she won't be found.
Now, what would cause her not to be found? Ground up in a wood chipper like one guy did a few years ago? Weighted down and dumped in water? Put inside cement and buried? Dumped over a mountain side? In December here, we didn't have much snow yet. It didn't hit until after Christmas. Maybe when the snow melts, a hiker will find something.
Linda: Did you read "Men are from Mars"? That book saved my marriage.

Hi Valleygirl - No, but I've seen the author interviewed several times. He has always come across to me as the man who most understands the differences between our genders of any MAN I've ever heard.
Second only to one man giving marital advice who still holds the 'first place' [for smarts] in my view. His statement was [I'm paraphrasing here]: "If men would learn to just say yes to anything...they'd be much better off....Why go though the time and trouble of an argument, sleeping on the sofa, etc....when she's going to win anyway. [He was joking....but I loved it]
------------
Laci's father just did a short interview on TV. The newswoman had previously said her parents went to buy back her car and the person who bought it gave it to them. The father's statement was that he was very angry at Scott's recent actions and statements to the press. AND that if he [Scott] really wanted to help find Laci, he'd get right down to the police station and start talking.

KD - I hope IF he is arrested and found guilty he doesn't 'off' himself. [Again IF] He deserves to spend a lifetime in prison....

He strikes me as the kind of guy too arrogant to commit suicide. If he makes it to jail he's going to lern a whole new definition of abused wife ; ).
BTW - NoCal proseutors need to have a talk with some of the ones down here in SD. They successfully prosecuted a man for murdering his wife last year without the body ever being found. She tossed her in the ocean too.

::If (please remember the "if" he was involved in her disappearance, he probably had no idea how big this would become. He probably didn't think anyone would check into his alibi or his background and private life. Maybe people might really believe that she just went off. ::
If he really believed this I'm dying to know what planet he has been living on. Pregnant woman disappears into thin air on Christmas eve? There would have to be 7 seperate aliens landings worldwide, a Nebraska pig farm suddenly break into flight and a group of Cuban refugees rescued from an iceburg off the coast of Florida for news stations not to have picked that story up.
As for him thinking that his affair and the attempt to put the house on the market three weeks later not being discovered....... maybe he's laying the foundation for an insanity plea.

Do you think any of his more recent behaviors have been rational? He didn't call the police, her family did. He didn't set up the command center, her family did. Perhaps he didn't realize the support her family would give to the investigation and this threw him into a tailspin.
He obviously had plans to buy a new vehicle, sell the house, continue his affair (speculation), and ride off into the sunset. And all of this within a few days of her disappearance. He doesn't seem sly enough to have thought through the entire scenario.
BTW: As for searches~the house, vehicles, his warehouse, and darn near every square inch of the county has been combed over, not to mention the Berkeley Marina. There was blood in the cars but Scott said that would be a normal? find for both Laci and his vehicles.
