yeager,

I think what you are missing, is that the protestor had climbed on the blade of the Bulldozer, a fact that the pictures don't show and when she fell off is when she was run over...

According to the ISM activist, Corrie was wearing a bright jacket and climbed onto the bulldozer shovel-plow and began shouting at the driver.

She probably fell while trying to get off and the driver just didn't see her. Of course I wonder what she was "yelling", though doubtful the driver could of even heard her...

Helen and KD just don't want to admit that one of their "sisters" was dumber than dirt...

Yeager

I believe that this girl was trusting that the bulldozer driver would stop and he did not for whatever reason...either he intended to kill her or he thought that she would move or he didn't see her. I would not have had that kind of trust no matter how many feet were involved.

I don't know anything about the operation of bulldozers. That is why I did not get involved in that discussion. I have answered your question and lo and behold, I don't have "egg on my face."

But you appear almost hysterical.

The way I heard it, she had climbed on the blade, which is taller than 6 feet. The driver looked behind him as he backed up at some point, and the girl fell off, right in front of the blade. A dozer is real bumpy going over uneven ground, and it is very understandable that she was thrown off. The driver could not see her, and ran over her going forward, then backed over her before he realized she was still there.

I agree she was showing no common sense. The bulldozer is massive and any anyone her age would have enough common sense to know machinery that large was dangerous. But she put herself in harm's way and miscalculated what could happen, so she died.

I consider it unfortunate, but have no sympathy for her stupidity. Stupidity comes from knowing better and going ahead anyway. She is no martyr, simply someoine who didn't exercise common sense.

Helen,

Your last post was about something that was posted 49 items ago. It really has nothing to do with this current topic. This just goes to show that you side step the issues that are to difficult to deal with.

In my more recent posts on this page, I asked you to explain who was destroying this thread. I did not say that you indicated that I was trying to do this, even though this was your answer. I just want you to try to explain what you write. If you truly believe that someone is trying to destroy it, then excerise your right and say how. Keep in mind if you do this, you will then be putting yourself in a superior position above the other posters that your opinion is superlative.

Also, in the 15th post on this page you said, She wasn't an idiot. I disagree 100 percent with that. In one your earlier posts, you said Corrie was wearing a bright jacket and climbed onto the bulldozer shovel-plow and began shouting at the driver.

Let's see, climbs onto a moving bulldozer. What an idiot!

I also asked you to answer my question about common sense, and you failed to answer.

Also, why do you tell me to "chill dude"? In doing so, are you asking me not to post my opinions here? Or should I just post less here? How is it that you aquired the right to control my posting?

I really won't wait for answers to these questions.

Neverthless, It's grossly insensitive to call the girl stupid.

That's good, yeager, because none are forthcoming.

Helen,

Please don't say I appear almost hysterical. Just for you I just took my pulse and blood pressure and everything is fine. Also, you said that you don't have egg on your face. What do you have on your face, a dull stare?

Patty,

Do as Helen says. STOP calling the girl stupid. Everyone knows that climbing on a moving bulldozer is the right thing to do. There is very little risk associated with this act of sensible and appropriate behavior.

yeager, kraft, I'm LOL!

The world should be made "fair" so no one ever gets offended by someone else being called stupid! NOT!

Remember that famous quote?

MAMA ALWAYS SAID, "STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES."

I am a very sensitive person. What she DID was senseLESS, knew what could happen, didn't exercise ANY judgement, wasted all that her parents have given her and done for her, so is stuPid with a capital P.

Oh was I ranting?

To me, with reference to this girl, two saying come into mind.

1. Some people are educated beyond their intelligence.

2. What's the sense of being stupid, if you can't show it?

That's a good one. Don't let Helen see it. She will cause you "insensitive".
