I don't think there's a computer on the planet that NEVER crashes, but I'll give you an example. The Mac operating system is a version of UNIX, which is an open source (read "free" operating system that has been in continuous development for years and years. UNIX or a variation of it runs most of the big servers and infrastructure of the web as well as other mission critical networks. Mac OS X is just a nice (REALLY nice) graphic user interface on top of a rock solid unix core. Until last august, we had the linux Dell machine and my Macintosh on our home network. My mac ran the old mac OS, which was OS 9, and NOT unix based. It crashed about as often as a windows machine, but all it took to recover was a restart, and it never got viruses, worms or other nasties. Last august we added another new Mac desktop and a Mac laptop to the network. The new macs ran the new OS, so I upgraded the old mac to OS X so they would all be running the same system. We have an always on connection, so ALL the computers except the portable are running 24/7. Since last august, THE ONLY TIME WE HAVE HAD TO RESTART THE MACS IS AFTER A SOFTWARE UPDATE OR POWER OUTAGE! That's right, we are going on one full year without a single freeze, crash or other crap-out. OS X is incredibly stable. I run lots of memory and processor intensive stuff on these machines too, not just web and email stuff.

Ms - I've never read it but I've always known Jobs was a little quirky. I always figured that was a given with people that brilliant. I will look into the book though, sounds really interesting.
Krafty, my Mac has not crashed in a month. Last time it did was becasue I had Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Two versions of GoLive, IE and AOL open at the same time and was flipping back and forth between them too quick. I didn't crash so much as went on strike.
