And another liberal hypocrit.

Leader of campaign to halt logging in Jackson State Forest says action was inadvertent

Notice a pattern with these hypocrit liberals ? They cost jobs and raise the costs of everything, but the same rules do not apply to them.

Yes, the 10th Amendment is a short read. Did you manage to finish your reading in one day?

Your copy and paste has brought you full circle to where you now contradict your original statement.

Your copy and paste of an elderly quotation coupled with an ancient
Supreme Court decision in order to circumvent and distort the truth is the currency of extremists, scoundrels and witless twits.

You could have cited recent Appeals Courts and Supreme Court decisions finding the Commerce Clause, in those instances, to be inconsistent with the 10th Amendment.

reamond...

Where in that article does it STATE that the individual invovled was a "liberal" or a "democrat" or even associated with anything RESEMBLING a political lean.

Thought so, caught you in a LIE again.....

LIE, LIE, LIE, LIE. Is that the best you can do? Your dictator would be proud of his little boy..... Too bad the credibility is gone....

Cite the modern Supreme Court cases that have ressurected the 10th amendment. They don't exist.

As for appeals court decisions, they are only good for the circuit in which decided.

mlecher- How much you want to bet that the person in the article is not a liberal ?

The persons named in the first article are all liberals. The person in the second article is also a liberal.

The only "lie" here is you lying to yourself.

ROUND ONE

wind farms = 1
hyprocrites = 0

http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGAHOBCPMJD.html

BOSTON (AP) -
Opponents of a proposed power-generating wind farm in Nantucket Sound were dealt a legal setback when a federal judge ruled that the state had no authority to stop construction of a test tower currently operating there.
Opponents of the proposed $700 million wind farm had filed suit against the developers, claiming the company needed a state permit to build the 197-foot tower, which measures environmental conditions.

Opponents, including U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Walter Cronkite and historian David McCullough, say it would damage wildlife, destroy views and harm the fishing and boating industries.

Look at the above list of "conservatives" against the wind farms. Ha Ha !!!

reamond has NONE, NADA, NOTHING!

Hey mlecher, just how much egg can you get on your face ? It must be a pretty big face for all the egg it gets all over it !!!

Uhhh, Reamond.

Walter Cronkite is a REGISTERED, DYED-IN-THE-WOOL LONG-TIME REPUBLICAN!!! As are 99% of the old-tyme newsmen. But that would be extremely hard for you to recognize, them being honest and trustworthy and all... But the old newmen are conservatives, Cronkite, Sheiffer, Wallace, etc.... Heck, even Andy Rooney is a conservative. The thing about the CONSERVATIVE Cronkite is that he is a fervent sailor and fan of the seascape and dosen't want to see it ruined.

So there goes your lie........AGAIN!

The egg is on your face...fool.

mlecher - Walter Cronkite is a REGISTERED, DYED-IN-THE-WOOL LONG-TIME REPUBLICAN!!!

Really??? Maybe you'd better tell HIM that. lol He claims he's an Independent....but hey, what would he know.

And if you read his comments on individual issues, he most often leans to the liberal way of thinking.

From the horses mouth - Walter Cronkite says on 8-15-03 in the opinion section of www.centredaily.com the following:

Let's face this one down right now: I'm neither Republican nor Democrat. I'm a registered independent because I find that I cast my votes not on the basis of party loyalty but on the issues of the moment and my assessment of the candidates.

Basically, I'm a fiscal conservative and a social liberal, but those who rabidly support those positions will be more often disappointed in my views than otherwise.

I believe that most of us reporters are liberal, but not because we consciously have chosen that particular color in the political spectrum.
------------
On the thread topic Walter Cronkite has lent his name to a coalition organized by liberal environmentalists groups who fought the Alaska drilling too.
-----

He has blasted Bush in the war on Iraq. He has socialized with the Clinton's.

mlecher - maybe you want to read Cronkite's stance on WW11, vietnam, korea, the gulf war. Most of the war's American has been involved in.

OR maybe you can show me proof of why you think he's a Republican. What Republican policies does he support, or has he supported in the past?

What difference does it make?

The fact that two or three Liberals are identified in the article does not indicate that all opposition to the wind farm is Liberal or that it is a Liberal issue.

Vince Taylor, a Mendocino Coast activist who has led a high-profile campaign to stop commercial logging in Jackson State Forest, has admitted violating state timber harvest rules by illegally cutting down trees to make way for a new home.

State officials said Taylor's illegal logging operation last year was on private property in a zone protected by the California Coastal Act.

Yep, these laws don't apply to them....they're special. And now he pay's no fine, the state picks up the legal tab [when he already knew better] and he's got his home where he wants it.
