This is a good one. The post, I mean. I used to have a friend and believe me, I now use the word "friend" loosly. He's gay and confessed to me to having an affair with another close friend of mine. Problem is, that other close friend was with someone else who was also a very close friend. Confused yet? The confessing friend and I had a falling out. Turns out he's not only a coniving drug addict, but got quite good at cheating the Medicaid system and stealing from everyone he knew including me. Well, (are you still following?) the friend of mine he supposedly had an affair with was on his death bed at Christmas time last year and died a few days before Christmas. While visiting him for a final time, this louse stole his Morphine. He stole pain medication from a dying man. How low can you go? I've kept this secret (about the affair; he was caught with the Morphine) because of the hurt it would cause the innocent party. He's lost enough.

And twelve (and the rest of you know who you are), no snide remarks about homosexuals, please. That's not what this thread is about. Just cutting you off at the pass!

Linda

Actually, telling it is such a relief. Since no one here knows who the heck I'm talking about, I haven't caused anyone any hurt. I can't tell anyone anything around here as it seems everyone knows everyone else. It was becoming such a burdon since the innocent party is still friendly with the not innocent party and I can't tell him why he shouldn't be!

Again, twelve, you took a lighthearted comment, made to actually be a joke, the wrong way. You know that although 99.9% of the time I don't agree with you, I still read your comments and have never disputed your right to have your own opinions.

The answer to your question is 2. Why? Should I not have any? I also have 4 close African American friends, 2 Hispanic, 1 Chinese, 1 Jewish and even a Wiccan member. What can I say? I love diversity. We're a riot at parties.

Cheryl - I can't tell anyone anything around here as it seems everyone knows everyone else. No, no one will be hurt by you telling it here.

And I can identify with the situation in which you find yourself. I had a friend who's husband was cheating with another woman I knew. Not getting involved [keeping my knowledge to myself] in that one was one the hardest things I ever had to do. But too many times I've seen it come to pass that the 'messenger' is the one that ends up being blamed.

Wow Cheryl, this freind who steals a dying freinds pain medication... thats bad

Linda, yeah, its like what do you do? If you see, say your best freinds husband with another woman, you would want her to know, but then, I've seen this, the messenger is the one that gets blamed. Its a tough call, but I guess I couldn't tell the freind.

Ok Kraft, what your best kept secret?

kiara

This is really what I said.

http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&thread=192033&id=192040

Let me tell you something, Bear. You cannot tell me where to post or what to post. The fact that you cannot comprehend the meaning of my comment is unfortunate but not my problem.

I am probably more supportive of the military than you and your neocon pals are. Those who want to put the military in unnecessary danger in order to advance political agendas cannot be seen as supportive of the troops. They can only be seen as users of the troops.

Try reading my comment and you will see that I said nothing derogatory about the troops. My criticism was focused on the degree of exaggeration used by the writer to promote a feature or personal interest type article.

Chill dude.

Helen
