That's pretty cool, Cheryl. You've been through the mill and survived with a great attitude.

Wonderful children, btw!

Helen, your daughter has inherited your high cheek bones... you better keep her locked up for a few more years!

Near, I have a picture of you from our last Roll Call. You were gorgeous then and still are (whether you're on pain killers or not).

Austi, you remind me of Bill at the corner store. He's Greek, swears constantly, smokes like a chimney, knows more than anyone (around here) about politics and has the best sense of humour going. I love your attitude!

OK, enough small talk. I had a lunch date with some Midol. If it doesn't kick in soon, I'll be forced to talk about politics for the next 24 hours. Pray for me.

Assey,
You'll have to get a bigger bike but that one looks good for you.

Very nice PIC's of all the kids. I wish them all health and happiness.

I have four myself, three girls and a boy. All are grown up and none in prison. I have five grand children. They are all happy and healthy.

Nice to see how the thread changed all of a sudden. Still, there’s a couple who think their body functions are original ideas but all in all a nice change.

Amen,
Reverend Colin

“colin, your comments don't bother me in the least. I consider the source and move on. For a supposed religious man, you sure have a rotten attitude toward anyone who doesn't think the same way you do. And, that is all my energy you will get.”

I don’t mind people that have a different view then me. It does bother me when their entire being is wrapped up in the hatred of one person or when a group of people bond together for this sole purpose.

Helen,
“In your posts, colon, I see a very defensive individual focused on insulting the posters rather than contributing any thoughts to the topics. You project your bitter and unhappy attitude to all others and only engage in playground level insults. If you don't enjoy reading and contributing to this discussion, why are you here?”

This is your usual deceptive comeback, this and “You didn’t answer my question”, of course you use this even when someone does answer your questions with a valid answer.

I can accept Offensive but don’t understand how you came up with defensive. As far as bitter, unhappy attitude and childish insults, I can’t come close to your mastery of this form.

Are you a United State citizen? If not it would explain some of your ranting to me. BTW, you’re still spelling my name incorrectly or is this a “playground level insult”?

Why am I here? I like to think I’m a voice in the middle. Not the far Left or Right, someone that can point out your inconsistencies.

Amen,
Fighting the red menace,
Reverend Colin

I said,

You say,
"This is your usual deceptive comeback, this and “You didn’t answer my question”, of course you use this even when someone does answer your questions with a valid answer."

Every word in that statement is truth as I see it, colin. On the next point, I can't remember saying to you, "You didn't answer my question" because on the rare occasions that I do, you always have an answer. As far as answering questions, all are answered with the exception of Linda who makes spurious allegations without backup. Maybe those are the "questions" that you refer to.

You say,
"BTW, you're still spelling my name incorrectly or is this a "playground level insult"?"

We are definitely on a playground, colin and as the saying goes, When in Rome... I'm surprised that you had to ask since you are so exceedingly skilled at such techniques.
Although I'll always think of you as "colon" (based on the substance of your remarks to me) if that misspelling bothers you, I'll remember to use "i" instead of "o" next time.

You say,
"As far as bitter, unhappy attitude and childish insults, I can’t come close to your mastery of this form."

You should know me better, colin. I am not bitter or unhappy but it's true that the trend of this board has evolved in that direction. Before your arrival we were a relatively happy group for a long time. Maybe there's still hope for improvement.

Now, I have to laugh at your self description as not right or left but as a "voice in the middle". I can't help but wonder in the middle of what? LOL!

You ask,
"Are you a United State citizen?'

Of course, you already know that I'm a citizen. Are you?

Helen

Two statements that are a bunch of hogwash!!!

Yes, Colin, helen doesn't feel it's a 'relatively happy group' if *ALL* aren't in agreement with her views of everything. She got used to that for a while and she's just having difficulty adjusting. Hopefully you won't take that rude statement seriously. Helen doesn't understand there are 'moderates' on both sides of the political scale.

Nonsense. Only you expect total agreement and total, unqualified trust in your leader Otherwise members of this board are called anti-Americans, anti-patriotic and communists.

And, only you make spurious allegations without backup.

No need to back up my statements to you helen. We're all adults and can read each others posts. Just like on the last link you posted. Each who is interested can read it and form their own opinion of what you and I said. Might surprise you to learn how many really don't care.

Hi Helen

I know I'm missing something here (and I'm sure others will say I miss or post wrong information, which may be the case! )

But when I look at colins 'profile' it says he's been here since 1999, yours says 2001, I KNOW they 'rolled' the registrations at one point... I think mine says 2000 under this posting ID... but it was 99, under shellyherr, and your probably had a different ID also, or back when it was AW, they did change registration dates at sometime, not sure why.

So that is why I am confused about how this was a relatively happier group before colin came

I think colins jokes are one great contribution, as a lot of people like the jokes, its a diversion, from all this, ya know?

Thank you colin

Nearthesea,

Colins first post in the ROUND TABLE was January, 17, 2003.

BTW...I did not mean to infer that the atmosphere change here was caused by colin's appearance but rather that it happened around that time.

I don't read The EBAY OUTLOOK regularly. His first post there was September 27, 2000.

Oh, ok. (I still don't know how you search this stuff... I am an internet dummy )

But I do think he has contributed a lot here

And why can't it be a happier group? Why, we were sharing pictures the other night!

Nearthesea,

My ID used to be Hjw...before I was sanctioned during the period when the board was moderated. I used a hyphenated word to skirt the word censor. LOL!

When I registered the second time, I simply added my first name to my previous initials, Hjw.

Oh, I remember HJW name!

Ok you don't have to give out secrets , but can you search that far back? to like my old name? (you don't have to give that info, if you don't want to)

and I should edit my post above, the big blanks are probably taking up bandwith or something!
